Gift giving is a big part of Valentine’s Day. Chocolate, flowers, and jewelry are a tried-and-tested route but can be expensive and, for some, boring. This is where things get tricky. There’s a fine line between cheap and practical, and crossing that line hinges on one very important thing: taste. Keep in mind when we say “taste,” we mean your partner’s, not yours. Do your research (i.e. ask her sister or his best bud) and find out what they need and then what they want, in that order. Take the opportunity to rejuvenate yourself guilt-free. Fact of the matter is, Valentine’s Day is just a normal day for you, so don’t you mind all the #mayforever selfies.
