Security Bank Corporation’s digital drive continues to produce practical and innovative banking solutions at par with the evolving business landscape and financial behavior of customers. The Bank has revamped its entire I.T. network, including the customer-facing front-end which was redesigned by a group of millennials hired for the purpose.
“We intend our efforts to be inclusive so that our services cut across our customers’ profile. We design our digital solutions in such a way that they will cater to the needs of both older-generation clients who prefer to transact over-the-counter and the younger-generation clients who prefer to transact online,” said Security Bank President & CEO Alfonso Salcedo, Jr.
True to its commitment, Security Bank strives to deliver its BetterBanking trademark service with agility, nimbleness and speed. Its products and services have managed to adapt to the digital age without losing the heart of customer service – convenience and practicality.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas earlier said that it aims to increase electronic payment transactions to at least 20 percent in two years. With this, Security Bank continues to design and integrate digital solutions in its wholesale and retail banking to cater to both older-generation and younger-generation clients.
Security Bank’s Digibanker, a multi-awarded corporate electronic banking and cash management solution, enabled the Bank to quickly establish itself as a major competitor in the wholesale banking market. For retail banking, the Bank provides its customers freedom from banking hassles through its All Access Account, a product that offers customers all-around access to their funds via passbook, check book, mobile app and EMV debit MasterCard that are given immediately to customers upon account opening. It includes free life insurance, cardless ATM withdrawals and an enhanced credit card transaction experience thanks to location-based mobile selling.
Security Bank also caters to owners of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with its Business Express Loan, which helps businesses finance short term needs – whether equipment, office space, or cash for day-to-day operations. The service comes with minimal documentary requirements, fast approval and auto-crediting of funds.
The Bank has also integrated the Human Switch Kit which has made opening accounts easier for potential customers through online application. The Bank can send someone from the preferred branch to personally assist customers with their account opening, from scheduling meetings to delivering the passbook and/or ATM card.
“Whether it be through digital or traditional means, our end game is still financial inclusion. While we expand our digital services, we also grow our network of branches. Right now, we have more than 300 branches. Combine that with our digital transformation efforts and we can broaden our market, reach more customers and establish a larger presence,” Salcedo said.
Security Bank plans to upgrade and develop more digital solutions for both retail and wholesale clients in line with its digital expansion for 2018.
The Bank has been named the 2017 Best Digital Bank in the Philippines by the London-based Capital Finance International (CFI and www.cfi.co) “for pushing the technological envelope with innovative products, services, and apps that not just meet today’s needs but are ready as well to face the future, and for paying special attention to integrate its digital offerings with the facilities available to clients via its branch network.”
