How does this work?

The Security Bank Refer a Friend program is your chance to reap the rewards when you share your BetterBanking experience. As you get your friends to take their first step towards BetterBanking, we want you to feel empowered.

The referrals must be 21 to 65 years old and must be new-to-bank or new-to-card individual customers.

Why are you not receiving your referral link? If you’ve already requested for your referral link and have not received it within 30 working days, please check:

  • If the email you provided is valid. Check for any typos!
  • Your spam folder, or even your “update” or “promotion” folders if you have them enabled.
  • If you’ve unsubscribed from our official newsletter.

How to refer?

  1. You should have received your unique referral link via SMS or email.
  2. You may send the link through text, social media, email, etc. Some creativity also goes a long way—it’s up to you!
  3. Your referral must apply for a Security Bank product using the link you provided.
  4. Cash incentives will be credited to your Security Bank Credit Card or to your Security Bank deposit account if you have no Security Bank credit card. No limits!

Terms and Conditions
  1. The Security Bank Member-Get-Member Program (referred to as “MGM Program”) is a referral program open to existing accountholders and Principal credit cardholders (referred herein to as “Customers”) of Security Bank Corporation (referred herein to as “Security Bank”). Corporate and supplementary cardholders are not eligible to join the program.
  2. To qualify as a referrer, a Security Bank customer:
    • Must be in good credit standing as of the latest billing cycle date.
    • Must not be prohibited by legal or regulatory restrictions, or applicable Security Bank policy from participating in and /or qualifying for this Program
    • Must not be an employee of Security Bank and its subsidiaries and affiliates, up to the second degree of consanguinity
  3. A referral is deemed valid provided that the referred individual is/has:
    • A new-to-bank customer which is defined as a person with no existing or previous Security Bank relationship, including but not limited to a deposit or loan account, whether as primary, secondary or joint accountholder or ITF beneficiary (for deposit), or as principal borrower or co-borrower (for loan accounts) AND who has never been issued a Security Bank credit card
    • FOR CREDIT CARD ONLY: A new-to card customer is defined as a person who has never been issued a Security Bank credit card
    • Applied via personalized link to a uniquely-tagged form
    • Met the following criteria
      • Auto Loan – Booked a loan amount of at least PHP600,000 at a minimum loan term of 36 months
      • Home Loan – Booked a loan amount of at least PHP1,000,000 at a minimum loan term of 60 months
      • Personal Loan – Booked a loan amount of at least PHP100,000 at a minimum loan term of 24 months
      • Credit Card – Approved, issued and activated a principal Security Bank Credit Card of any of the following card types
        • Security Bank Classic Mastercard
        • Security Bank Gold Mastercard
        • Security Bank Platinum Mastercard
        • Security Bank World Mastercard
  4. Referrals approved for the following credit card types are not qualified for this program:
    • Security Bank MasterCard Cashback
    • Security Bank MasterCard Click Card
    • Security Bank Corporate Cards
    • Security Bank employees and employees of its affiliates
  5. Referrers must use the personalized link uniquely tagged to an application form when making referrals. The personalized link shall be sent to the referrer’s registered email address. The personalized link may be re-sent upon request.
  6. Security Bank shall only honor referrals who applied via the personalized links.
  7. Security Bank has no obligation to furnish or disclose any information about the referrals and the corresponding status of their application.
  8. Referrers shall earn the following cash incentive based on the corresponding approved/availed product

  1. In case of multiple valid availments by a single referral, the referrer shall only be awarded a cash incentive on the first product availed. This rule shall not apply when the second product availed is a credit card, in which case referrer shall qualify as well for the new-to-card incentive.
  2. Cash incentives shall be credited to the referrer’s credit card and/or account in the following order of priority:

  4. Click Mastercard credit card
  5. Cashback Mastercard credit card
  6. Security Bank savings/checking account
  7. A Referrer shall forfeit the cash incentives if he or she no longer has a Security Bank credit card or Security Bank savings or checking account at the time of the crediting.
  8. Cash incentives for valid referrals shall be credited in twenty (20) banking days after the end of each month.
  9. There is no cap to the cash incentives that can be earned.
  10. In case a referral applied using personalized links of different referrers, the referrer tagged in the application submitted first shall be eligible for the cash incentive.
  11. All referrals/applications shall be subject to evaluation.
  12. In case of dispute with respect to the Referrer’s eligibility, coverage of dates, fulfilment, etc., Security Bank’s decision shall prevail. All questions or disputes regarding the Referrer’s eligibility for the Program shall be resolved by Security Bank.
  13. The offer is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for other promo items and cannot be availed in conjunction with other referral programs of the bank.
  14. Fraud, abuse or any unauthorized action relating to the credit card, loan or bank application, the participation in the program may result in the disqualification of the Referrer from the Program, or the charging of the awarded cash incentives against the Referrer’s credit card and/or savings or checking account at the discretion of the Bank. This shall be without prejudice to any legal action that may be taken by Security Bank.
  15. All loan products are subject to existing policies and procedures of the Bank. The program shall be subject to the terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of Security Bank Credit Cards.
  16. These terms and conditions are subject to any relevant law, government direction and regulation. The program will be void where prohibited or restricted by law.
