Terms and Conditions

  1. The Security Bank Q2 Omnibus Acquisition Promo (“Promo”) is open to all Principal new-to- bank credit cardholders who:
    • applied, subsequently got approved and were issued any one (1) of the following Security Bank credit cards, from May 16 to July 31, 2022 extended until September 30, 2022 as approved by DTI-FTEB:
      • Gold Mastercard
      • Next Mastercard
      • Cashback Platinum Mastercard
      • Platinum Mastercard
      • FWD x SBC Platinum Mastercard
      • World Mastercard


    • who do not have any previous Principal credit card issued by Security Bank or have not had such a card in the last six (6) months before application.
  2. A cardholder may only qualify for one acquisition promo at any given time. If a cardholder is approved for multiple cards or qualifies for two or more cards under different acquisition promos within the same period, he/she will be entitled to only one (1) welcome gift. The welcome gift will be applied to the first credit card approved for the cardholder. If a cardholder qualifies under another acquisition promo during the same promo period, they will no longer be able to participate in this Promo.
  3. The newly approved Principal new-to-bank Security Bank credit cardholder shall be entitled to receive the welcome gift upon meeting the single or accumulated spending requirement:

    • Validity Period of the eGC: 60 days upon receipt of the eGift code
  4. The redemption process for this Promo will be as follows:
    • The eGift code will be sent to the qualified cardholder’s mobile number once the cardholder meets the requirement. If there is no valid mobile number registered, the eGift code will be sent to the cardholder’s email address. For all qualified cardholders, the eGift code will be sent within 30 days from date of entitlement.
    • b) To redeem, cardholder must click the unique link sent to his registered mobile number/email address. The cardholder will be directed to Giftaway’s page where he/she can redeem his/her eGC and the specific instructions on how to redeem/use the eGift. eGift terms and conditions shall be provided per merchant.
  5. By redeeming through Giftaway, the cardholder is responsible for providing his/her personal information and other information that may be required by Giftaway, and agrees that such information shall be subject to the confidentiality, data privacy, and security terms of Giftaway.
  6. All terms and conditions relating to the eGift and its use as indicated in the Giftaway website shall apply.
  7. Single-receipts purchases must come from one Security Bank credit card usage only. Only Principal cardholders can join this promo.
  8. All posted local and overseas retail transactions are qualified. The following are not considered qualified transactions:
    • Cash Advances via ATM or over the counter
    • Balance Transfer / Ready Cash / Convert to ChargeLight
    • Recurring payments and utility payments enrolled in Bills Assist
    • Fees and Charges
    • Disputed Transactions
    • All types of gaming transactions and transactions generated from activities that involve a bet or a game of chance for money or other desired stakes.
    • Transactions with merchants specifically engaged in wholesale (e.g., warehouse clubs) and distributions (multi-level marketing)
    • Quasi Cash
  9. For cardholders with the dual currency feature, the overseas spend will be computed based on Security Bank’s daily conversion rate provided, per merchant.
  10. The Security Bank Q2 Omnibus Acquisitions Promo runs from May 16 to September 30, 2022, and can be availed of only once. A cardholder who has already made a redemption under the Promo may no longer redeem again. In case the Principal cardholder is found to have made multiple/invalid redemptions or is found to have redeemed using fraudulent schemes, Security Bank shall have the right to charge the cost of the redeemed eGift code at prevailing retail price, to the Principal cardholder’s Security Bank credit card.
  11. All questions or disputes regarding the cardholder’s eligibility for the promotion, redemption, coverage of dates and fulfillment, shall be resolved by Security Bank with the concurrence of DTI.
  12. The eGift code is non- transferrable, not convertible to cash, non-refundable, and not replaceable when lost, and is not for sale. Lost or deleted codes may be requested subject to validation by Security Bank in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the promo pertaining to redemption and use.
  13. Exchanging of the eGift code for another item is not allowed once redemption is completed.
  14. Corporate, Complete Cashback, Classic and Employee cardholders are not eligible to join this promo.
  15. The cardholder should maintain his/her card account in good credit* standing for at least 12 months from approval. Otherwise, the cost of the eGift code will be charged back to the cardholder’s account.
  16. This Promo cannot be used in conjunction with other ongoing promos of Security Bank and is subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Security Bank Mastercard credit cards and Security Bank’s rewards program.
  17. Cardholders who replace, upgrade, downgrade or convert to another credit card product such as but not limited to Complete Cashback card and Classic card within the promo period will not be eligible to join this Promo.
  18. The personal information we collect from cardholders will be used, or shared with third parties (including related companies, third party service providers, and third party sellers), for the completion of the redemption process for Security Bank which every cardholder will be deemed to have consented to upon acceptance and use of the eGC, including the receipt of . SMS/text messages or e-mails in relation to the Promo, such as but not limited to SMS or e-mails confirming earning of eGift code upon completion of qualified purchase.

*Cardholders in good credit standing are those with Security Bank Mastercard credit cards which are not on hold for being reported lost or stolen, whose accounts are not delinquent, not under investigation due to suspected fraud, and those who have not violated any of the Terms and Conditions.
