Terms and Conditions

  1. The Shop Anywhere Campaign is open to all Primary and Supplementary Security Bank Rewards (Classic, Gold, Platinum and World) and Next Mastercard Credit Cardholders* only.
  2. Campaign period is from November 15, 2021 to February 15, 2022.
  3. In this campaign, cardholders who reach the minimum spend requirement using their Security Bank Mastercard credit card will be entitled to receive a cashback.

  4. Transactions made from the following categories within the campaign period are considered qualified:
    • Local Retail (over-the-counter transactions from merchants designated as department stores, supermarket or groceries, drugstore or pharmacies, other retail stores and gasoline stations);
    • International (over-the-counter transactions); and
    • Merchant Installment (0% ChargeLight, Charge Now, Pay Later, Regular Installment & OFF US installments via Pay Later Easy Monthly Installment)) including those with voice approvals.
  5. However, transactions made from the following are NOT qualified in this campaign:
    • Cash Advance;
    • Mail Order/Telephone Order Transactions;
    • Bills Assist (Continuous Billings) Transactions or transactions under Security Bank’s Auto-Debit Arrangement
    • Online payments (which includes electricity, water, telco, insurance and other utility bills)
    • All types of gaming transactions and transactions generated from activities that involve a bet or a game of chance for money or other desired stakes;
    • Quasi-cash or cash in transactions
    • In-house Installments (Balance Transfer, Cash Back, Ready Cash, et al.);
    • SimplyPay
    • All transactions not supported by a transaction receipt; and
    • Online transactions (both local and international)
    • Straight Transactions that were auto-converted to Installment for Next Mastercard credit card
  6. Transactions made by supplementary credit cardholders will automatically be tagged under their respective principal credit cardholders’ accounts.
  7. The cashback amount will be credited to the Primary cardholder’s credit card account within 30 banking days after the end of the promo period or by March 17, 2022.
  8. For cardholders with dual currency feature, the overseas spend will be computed based on Security Bank’s daily conversion rate.
  9. If the cardholder subsequently disputes the very same transaction which qualified him/her for the cashback, the amount of Cashback shall be charged to the cardholder’s account. The cardholder shall be informed via email or phone call that the amount shall be charged to his/her account.
  10. If there is any instance of fraud on the part of the cardholder with regards to the transaction used for the redemption of the item, the Bank reserves the right to charge the cashback amount to the cardholder’s account, as well as other remedies available to it under the law.
  11. The cardholder should maintain his/her card account in good** credit standing for at least 12 months from approval. Otherwise, the cost of the redemption will be charged back to the cardholder’s account.

  13. All questions or disputes regarding the cardholder’s eligibility for the promotion, redemption, coverage of dates and fulfillment, shall be resolved by Security Bank with the concurrence of DTI.
  14. This promo cannot be used in conjunction with other on-going promos of the Bank and Mastercard. It is also subject to the Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Security Bank Mastercard.

*Cardholders in good credit standing are those with Security Bank Mastercard credit cards which are not on hold for being reported lost or stolen, whose accounts are not delinquent, not under investigation due to suspected fraud, and those who have not violated any of the Terms and Conditions.
