Security Bank joins Philippine Red Cross in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

You can now use your Security Bank Credit Card rewards points as donations to Philippine Red Cross and support their humanitarian missions.  Every 100 points redeemed is equivalent to a Php10 donation. Your donated points will help in giving PPEs and  psychological support to our frontliners; and provisionary aids such as hot meals and ready-to-eat food (RTE) to affected communities. Together, we can get better.

Terms and Conditions
General
  1. Security Bank Rewards program is open to all active and current Security Bank Classic, Gold, Platinum and World Mastercard.
  2. Rewards depicted in the rewards catalogue may be redeemed using rewards points or fast track modes of redemption, if available.
  3. Unless otherwise specified, rewards shall refer to all items being offered for redemption in the Rewards Program.
Eligibility
  1. Only Principal Credit Cardholders and Supplementary Credit Cardholders (individuals) are eligible to earn rewards points on the qualified transactions under the Rewards Program.
  2. The following are not eligible to join the Rewards Program:
    • Corporate/Company Credit Cardholders.
    • Complete Cashback Mastercard cardholders.
  3. Only Principal Credit Cardholders, whose cards are valid and in good standing (i.e. card must not be delinquent, suspended or cancelled) may redeem their rewards points for rewards item/s.
Rewards Points
  1. Qualified cardholders will earn one (1) rewards point for every P20 qualified transaction charged to their qualified credit cards.
  2. For cards with dual currency, cardholders will earn (1) rewards point for every USD1.00 qualified transaction.
  3. Qualified credit cardholders will earn rewards points for transactions made on their qualified credit card. Transactions including but not limited to cash advances, charges, fees, annual membership fees, finance charges, interest, penalty charges, credit adjustments and Meralco and PLDT payments are not qualified to earn rewards points.
  4. Rewards points will not be offered for any unposted or cancelled credit card transaction or credit card transaction posted but subsequently reversed or refunded in whole or in part, including but not limited to tax refunds on overseas purchases.
  5. Rewards points earned on the qualified transactions of Supplementary Credit Cardholders shall automatically accrue to the Principal Credit Cardholder’s account.
  6. For cardholders with two (2) or more Security Bank credit cards, rewards points of their respective cards will be combined. This provision should be construed with the provision on exclusive rewards, as indicated in General Policies, item e.
  7. Bonus rewards is a special feature under the Rewards Program that allows select Security Bank Credit Card types to earn additional rewards points for pre-defined credit card transactions and/or spending, the mechanics of which will be communicated to credit cardholders from time to time via its normal communication channels such as Security Bank’s website, statements of account, among others.
  8. The cardholder’s rewards points balance shall be reflected in the monthly statement of account and updated every statement cut-off date.
  9. For cardholders with two or more Security Bank credit cards, the cardholder’s combined rewards points balance shall be reflected in the monthly statement of account, and the statement of account with a later statement date shall reflect the more recently updated and combined rewards points balance.
  10. Unless reported to Security Bank within thirty (30) days upon receipt of the statement of account, the rewards points summary shall be considered correct and binding upon the cardholder concerned. However, this shall not prejudice the right of Security Bank to correct at any time any computation or posting of rewards points which it has determined to be erroneous.
  11. Rewards points can be used to redeem rewards offered under the Rewards Program.
  12. Security Bank reserves the right to change the rewards points earning rate and/ restrict or limit the number of rewards points earned on each transaction in connection with special programs, facilities and promotional activities without need of prior notice.
  13. Rewards points are not transferable to any other person.
  14. All unredeemed rewards points including rewards points pending credit into the account of the cardholder shall immediately become invalid, and shall be forfeited upon the occurrence of the following:
    • Cancellation of the card; or
    • Delinquency of the card; or
    • Card ceases to be in good credit standing
    • Fraud and abuse relating to the earning of rewards points in the rewards program or redemption of rewards items, as reasonably determined by Security Bank.
    • Unless otherwise specified, rewards shall refer to all items being offered for redemption in the Rewards Program.
    • Security Bank Rewards program is open to all active and current Security Bank Classic, Gold, Platinum and World Mastercard.
    • Rewards depicted in the rewards catalogue may be redeemed using rewards points or fast track modes of redemption, if available.

Claiming and Redemption
  1. In order to redeem rewards, the cardholder’s account must be active and current (not cancelled or suspended; with no past due balance at the time of redemption and delivery.)
  2. How to redeem:
    • Visit https://www.securitybank.com/rewards
    • Choose the reward/s of your choice by clicking on the “add to cart” button placed under each reward.
    • Once done, fill in the redemption form with the following details:
      • Card Name
      • Last 4-digits of card
      • Miles account number/Hotel rewards number, if applicable
      • Mobile number
      • Email address
      • Click on “Confirm” to signify your acceptance and have read and understood the terms and conditions of the SB Rewards Program.
      • Complete the redemption process by clicking on “Redeem”
  3. Redemption of rewards featured in the rewards catalogue is subject to the accumulation of sufficient rewards points, available credit limit at the time of redemption and final acceptance by Security Bank. Any redemption made will be rejected automatically in case of insufficient rewards points or violation of the Terms and Conditions of the Rewards Program or Terms and Conditions governing the use of the credit card.
  4. Once redemption is deemed valid, Security Bank shall send an SMS confirmation within 3 banking days from date of submission of redemption form.
  5. Security Bank may no longer send a notice of cancellation in cases where the redemption is considered invalid and is rejected.
  6. Redemption is considered invalid or rejected when:
    • The rewards item code and rewards item name indicated in the online redemption form do not match the rewards item code and item Name in the rewards catalogue.
    • The redemption form lacks sufficient details.
    • Multiple redemptions by a cardholder who is found to have insufficient points for the rewards being redeemed.
    • When the cardholder fails to specify the redemption center for rewards tagged “For Pick Up”.
  7. If applicable, as indicated in the rewards catalogue, rewards may be redeemed under fast track mode.
    • Under fast track mode, cardholders will be eligible to claim the rewards for lower rewards points and charge the cash portion to his/her SECURITY BANK credit card, whether through straight payment or installment payment, if available, and subject to Security Bank’ ChargeLight Installment Payment Terms and Conditions. The use of the SECURITY BANK credit card to pay the cash portion under fast track redemption will earn rewards points.
    • Only selected rewards as identified in the rewards catalogue may be redeemed using the fast track mode. Payment of the cash portion on installment basis, if available, may only be made in the tenors assigned to the rewards to be redeemed as specifically indicated in the rewards catalogue.
    • Once approved, redemption made via fast track mode cannot be reversed or cancelled.
    • For redemption with installment availment:
      • Cardholder must indicate the tenor that he/she wishes for the repayment on the redemption form.
      • The installment availment shall be processed and shall still be subject to approval, and Security Bank shall have the sole discretion to approve the fast track redemption and the installment availment requested.
      • Security Bank reserves the right to charge to the Cardholder’s account Five hundred pesos (Php500.00) as processing fee for the pre-termination of the installment amount/contract in the event of pre-termination of the approved installment transaction availed with the fast track redemption before the end of the chosen repayment period.
      • Installment availed with the fast track redemption shall be subject to the SB Card’s ChargeLight Installment terms and conditions.
  8. Rewards shall either be picked up by cardholder at a redemption center or delivered to the cardholder’s billing address or in the case of e-Gift Cards, will be sent via SMS to the cardholder’s mobile number on record or as indicated in the rewards catalogue. No delivery of items will be made to a P.O. Box address or to an address outside of the Philippines. Security Bank will not accept requests for delivery to any address other than the cardholder’s billing address or mobile number on record.
  9. For airline miles or hotel awards redemption:
    • Cardholder must first be enrolled in the participating airline mileage or hotel rewards program before rewards points can be converted. The cardholder may contact the respective airline miles provider or hotel for confirmation.
    • Cardholders must redeem the required minimum number of airline miles or hotel awards, which may vary depending on card type as indicated in the rewards catalogue each time they request to convert their rewards points to airline miles or hotel rewards.
    • Once transferred, rewards points cannot be transferred back to the cardholder’s account as rewards points or transferred to another participating airline’s frequent flyer program account or participating hotel partner rewards program account.
    • Rewards points can only be transferred to the enrolled mileage account or hotel rewards account under the cardholder’s name.
    • Security Bank’ travel Insurance and benefits will not apply to flights taken with award tickets issued under a participating airline’s frequent flyer program.
    • Security Bank assumes no responsibility for rewards points transferred from a cardholder’s account into any frequent flyer program account or hotel rewards program account or for the actions of any participating airline or hotel in connection with its frequent flyer program or hotel rewards program.
    • Cardholders are subject to and must comply with the rules of the frequent flyer program(s) or hotel rewards program(s) of the participating airline(s) or hotel (s) in which they are enrolled.
    • A participating airline or hotel may change its program rules including regulations, policies, benefits, conditions of participation or mileage levels or rewards levels, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice, even though the changes may affect the value of the free mileage or hotel awards already accumulated.
    • Airline or hotel participation in the program is subject to change without prior notice.
    • Airline miles or hotel rewards cannot be exchanged for cash or credit under any circumstances.
    • Airline miles and hotel rewards redemption shall be processed/reflected on the cardholder’s account with the airline or hotel partner within four (4) to six (6) weeks from date of the successful redemption.
  10. For cash rebate redemption:
    • For credit to Security Bank cash card*, the minimum amount which may be redeemed is P500.
    • For credit to Security Bank account*, the beneficiary account should be under the name of the cardholder. If the account is a Junior One account, the name of the referror must be indicated.
    • The cash rebate is not convertible to cash.
    • A cash rebate will be processed and reflected on the beneficiary account within seven (7) banking days from date of successful redemption.
  11. For annual fee reversal/waiver redemption – reversal will be processed within two (2) to four (4) weeks from date of successful redemption.
  12. For other redemptions:
    1. Reward/s for pick-up
      1. Designated redemption centers will be indicated in the rewards catalogue.
      2. The cardholder must indicate on the redemption form the desired redemption center he or she wants to claim the reward/s.
      3. Claim voucher/s will be delivered to the cardholder’s billing address within sixteen (16) days for Metro Manila addresses and within twenty one (21) days for provincial addresses counted from the date of successful redemption.
      4. The cardholder must personally receive the claim voucher/s from the courier. Upon delivery, the cardholder shall be required to:
        1. Present a valid and unexpired government-issued proof of identification (e.g. driver’s license, SSS ID, TIN ID, PRC ID, passport, etc.) or company ID with picture and signature.
        2. Personally acknowledge receipt of claim voucher/s with his/her signature over printed name on the acknowledgement receipt (A/R).
      5. If the cardholder is unable to personally receive the claim voucher/s, the authorized representative may receive the claim voucher/s on behalf of the cardholder subject to the following:
        1. Presentation and/or surrender of an authorization letter duly signed by the cardholder; and
        2. Presentation of the authorized representative’s valid and unexpired government issued proof of identification (e.g. driver’s license, SSS ID, TIN ID, PRC ID, passport, etc.) or company ID with picture and signature; and
        3. Surrender a photocopy of the cardholder’s valid and unexpired government issued proof of identification (e.g. driver’s license, SSS ID, TIN ID, PRC ID, passport, etc.) or company ID with picture and signature; and
        4. Acknowledge receipt of the claim voucher/s by the authorized representative with his/her signature over printed name on the acknowledgment receipt (A/R).
      6. To claim the reward/s at a designated redemption center, cardholders shall be required to:
        1. Surrender the original copy of the claim voucher together with his/her card; and
        2. Present a valid proof of identification (driver’s license, SSS ID, company ID with picture & signature, TIN ID, among others)
      7. If the reward/s is being claimed by an authorized representative, the representative shall be required to:
        1. Surrender the original copy of the claim voucher
        2. Present a valid ID (driver’s license, SSS ID, company ID with picture & signature, TIN ID, among others)
        3. Surrender a photocopy of the cardholder’s valid ID (driver’s license, SSS ID, company ID with picture & signature, TIN ID, among others.) and his/her card.
      8. Any delivery arrangements upon redemption at the redemption center shall be settled by the cardholder directly with the redemption center. Security Bank shall not be held liable for any additional delivery charges that might be incurred by the cardholder for reward/s for pick-up at redemption center.
      9. Any upgrade of the reward/s shall be arranged by the cardholder directly with the redemption center. Security Bank shall not be held liable for any additional cost/s that might be incurred by the cardholder as a result of such an arrangement between the cardholder and the redemption center.
      10. Branches of merchants, if indicated, and/ or telephone numbers, or website addresses, if indicated, are based on supplier/merchant information provided to Security Bank and may be updated/changed by the supplier/ merchant from time to time, without prior notice.
      11. Cardholders must claim the reward/s at the redemption center specified in the claim voucher within sixty (60) days from the claim start date indicated on the claim voucher or on or before the expiry date as indicated in the claim voucher, whichever comes first.
      12. An expired claim voucher will no longer be extended or accepted.
      13. Any lost, stolen, damaged or expired claim advice will not be replaced.
  13. Reward/s for delivery
    1. Reward/s will be delivered to the cardholder’s billing address within sixteen (16) days for Metro Manila addresses and within twenty one (21) days for provincial addresses counted from the date of successful redemption.
    2. The cardholder must personally receive the reward/s from the courier. Upon delivery, the cardholder shall be required to:
      1. Present a valid and unexpired government-issued proof of identification (e.g. driver’s license, SSS ID, TIN ID, PRC ID, passport, etc.) or company ID with picture and signature.
      2. Personally acknowledge receipt of reward/s with his/her signature overprinted name on the acknowledgement receipt (A/R).
    3. If the cardholder is unable to personally receive the reward/s, an authorized representative may receive the reward/s on behalf of the cardholder subject to the following:
      1. Presentation and/or submission of an authorization letter duly signed by the cardholder; and
      2. Presentation and/or submission of photocopy of the authorized representative’s valid and unexpired government issued proof of identification (e.g. driver’s license, SSS ID, TIN ID, PRC ID, passport, etc.) or company ID with picture and signature; and
      3. Submission of the photocopy of the cardholder’s valid and unexpired government issued proof of identification (e.g. driver’s license, SSS ID, TIN ID, PRC ID, passport, etc.) or company ID with picture and signature; and
      4. Acknowledge receipt of the reward/s by the authorized representative with his/her signature over printed name on the acknowledgement receipt (A/R).
    4. If upon delivery to the cardholder, the reward/s is defective or damaged, the cardholder may request for a replacement of the reward/s within forty-eight (48) hours from receipt of the defective reward/s by calling Security Bank Hotline. In order to claim the replacement, cardholder must surrender the defective reward/s in its original manufacturer’s packaging together with any and all instructions and warranty certificates. Notwithstanding failure of the cardholder to request a replacement of the reward/s within the 48-hour period referred to herein, the supplier’s warranty shall remain valid and the cardholder may make a claim against said supplier directly on the basis of said warranty.
    5. There will only be three (3) delivery attempts for the reward/s or claim voucher/s. If the reward/s or claim voucher/s remain undelivered after the third attempt for any reason/s not caused by Security Bank, the courier or the merchant, Security Bank shall advise the cardholder regarding the failed delivery attempts. Should the cardholder request for re-delivery, the cardholder shall be notified of an additional delivery fee, and upon confirmation of the cardholder, shall be charged to the cardholder’s Security Bank Mastercard account. The additional delivery charge shall be as follows:
      1. For claim voucher/s and gift certificate/s, a minimum of P300 or the actual cost incurred by Security Bank for the re-delivery, whichever is higher, shall be charged;
      2. For all other rewards, a minimum of P375 delivery fee for Metro Manila, and a minimum of P475 for regional areas, or the actual cost incurred by Security Bank for the redelivery, whichever is higher. Delivery fee is charged on a volumetric basis, depending on the reward/s weight, and cardholder shall be notified of any such delivery fee charges.
    6. Should the cardholder fail to claim the reward/s or claim voucher/s by failing to give re-delivery instructions within fifteen (15) banking days, the unclaimed reward/s or claim voucher/s and the corresponding rewards points will be forfeited including any payment that may have been charged to the cardholder’s account under fast track redemption.
  14. Once a redemption is submitted to Security Bank, the said order cannot be changed, transferred, cancelled or refunded.
Rewards
  1. Security Bank has the right to assign the number of rewards points required for the reward depending on the credit card type.
  2. Batteries, if applicable (e.g. for mechanical toys, etc.), will not be included with the reward.
  3. Rewards photographed in the Rewards Catalog may differ slightly in color, size or texture from the actual reward/s delivered to the cardholder.
  4. In order to claim the replacement, cardholder must surrender the defective reward/s in its original manufacturer’s packaging together with any and all instructions and warranty certificates. Notwithstanding failure of the cardholder to request a replacement of the reward/s within the 48-hour period referred to herein, the supplier’s warranty shall remain valid and the cardholder may make a claim against said supplier directly on the basis of said warranty.
  5. Any request for replacement of a defective reward/s must be made within forty eight (48) hours from delivery date. Should the forty eight (48) hours lapse, “General Policies”, item K may apply to cover any reward/s with applicable manufacturer’s warranty period.
  6. For gift checks, gift cards, gift vouchers, and/or other airline gift certificate/s, the terms and conditions of the respective issuers shall apply.
  7. Security Bank will not be obliged to recognize or replace any reward/s redeemed through the program that is lost or stolen after delivery.
  8. Security Bank has taken and will take reasonable care to ensure that any information it publishes in relation to the reward/s included in the Rewards Program will be accurate. The description of rewards in the rewards catalogue will be based solely on information provided by third party suppliers. Photographs of rewards appearing in the rewards catalogue may slightly differ from the actual rewards or item/s.
  9. All rewards featured in the rewards catalogue will be subject to availability and the merchants/suppliers’ restrictions; and will be offered only while stocks last. If no longer available, Security Bank shall send a notice of cancellation via SMS in such instance.
General Policies
  1. Once the redemption is accepted by Security Bank, the same cannot be revoked or cancelled by the cardholder.
  2. All requests for redemptions may not be cancelled or redeemed reward/s returned in the absence of any defect in the reward/s redeemed. Exchanges should be made within forty-eight (48) hours upon receipt of the defective reward/s. Redeemed reward/s sent back for exchanges due to any defects in the redeemed reward/s, must be in the same condition as they were when delivered, complete with the box, manual, parts among others, that accompanied it upon delivery. Security Bank reserves the right to reject any request for exchanges, if found not defective. Any cost that may result from exchange requests found to be unacceptable shall be shouldered by the cardholder.
  3. Rewards points are non-transferable. Other than its intended use in this program, Rewards points under the Security Bank Rewards Program have no other financial or commercial value.
  4. Rewards that can be redeemed are limited only to those found in the rewards catalogue found in https://www.securitybank.com/rewards.
  5. Security Bank reserves the right to assign rewards exclusively for redemption of certain specific card types or account or cardholders as indicated in the rewards catalogue. In the same manner, Security Bank may disqualify selected card types/accounts/cardholders from redeeming said rewards using accumulated rewards points from ineligible or disqualified card types or accounts. For these exclusive rewards, redemption shall be allowed only from the points accumulated from the cardholder’s pertinent eligible card type or account.
  6. Security Bank World Mastercard, and Security Bank Mastercard Platinum Cardholders could request for items not included in the Rewards Catalogue under personalized rewards subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Rewards Program. Any additional delivery fee of the supplier shall be charged to the cardholder’s account.
  7. Security Bank reserves the right to reject redemption under personalized rewards, without the need to give any reason for its rejection and/or cancellation.
  8. Security Bank reserves the right to disqualify any cardholder from participating in the Security Bank rewards program and forfeit any rewards points earned by the cardholder upon delinquency in payment or upon violation of the terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of Security Bank Mastercard.
  9. Any request for redemption of rewards points is deemed to include an automatic authorization to Security Bank to give the necessary cardholder information to its supplier/merchant, agent, and/or contractor in order to complete the redemption process or delivery.
  10. Any request for redemption of rewards for donation is deemed to include an automatic authorization to Security Bank to give the necessary cardholder information to accredited donee partner/s in order to deliver the “thank you letter”, and/or corresponding official receipt, and/or other items as may be given for free by the accredited donee partner.
  11. Unless otherwise expressly stated for a particular reward, installation costs and/or eventual maintenance servicing of rewards items claimed through the Rewards Program, including but not limited to the following: gadgets, electronic equipment, premium items, and household appliances, shall be for account of the cardholder. In certain cases, some rewards may be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. In any such cases, cardholders may address or direct their inquiries to the manufacturer of the reward/s as stated in the warranty information.
  12. SB may, without prior notice, amend the number of rewards points required for redemption of rewards depicted in the rewards catalogue. The required rewards points at the time of redemption shall be applicable notwithstanding that the rewards points may have been earned prior to amendment.
Tax Treatment
  1. Cardholders are ultimately responsible for the tax treatment, if any, of rewards redeemed and Security Bank gives no warranty and accepts no responsibility as to the ultimate treatment of any potential tax on Rewards redemption. In the event any rewards redeemed should result in an income tax liability to a Cardholder, said income tax liability, if any, shall be shouldered by the Cardholder.
  2. Cardholders shall solely be liable for any tax consequences of, or in connection with their participation in the Rewards Program.
Terms and Conditions
  1. The Terms and Conditions governing the issuance and use of Security Bank, ChargeLight Installment Payment, as well as the Security Bank Cash Card Purchase Agreement are hereby incorporated by reference and shall form an integral part hereof.
