Security Bank Foundation Chairman Rafael F. Simpao, Jr. formally turned over a check donation to Philippine Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon for the purchase of an ambulance unit in a simple turnover activity held at the Security Bank Center in Ayala Avenue, Makati City on August 3, 2016.
Also present during the donation turnover was Philippine Red Cross Secretary General Atty. Oscar Palabyab and Fund Generation Director Esmeralda Villanueva.
The purchase of a second ambulance through the donation of the Foundation will help provide additional emergency and medical support during disasters and calamities in different communities in Metro Manila.
The first ambulance donation of SBFI, which was formally turned over to Philippine Red Cross in February 2016, was given a call sign of “Medic 12” and is currently employed in the NCR Area of Responsibility of the Philippine Red Cross. To date, “Medic 12” has already been used in several emergency transports, conductions and ambulance services totalling to 11 ambulance runs since its formal turnover. Kept in full functioning order 24/7 and manned by the finest crew available, this ambulance unit serves its purpose of catering to patients in all levels of society with a track record of zero lives lost.
