As part of Security Bank's corporate social responsibility, the foundation supports long-term and sustainable causes that will allow SBC to contribute to societal development and poverty alleviation and adopt a cause that is aligned with its mission and vision. In relation to this, the Livelihood Development Program was organized to gear towards the social and economic alleviation of the lives of the less privileged in the communities that the bank serves.

 

 

 

Dagatan Family Farm School and Balete Family Farm School were among the beneficiaries of the said foundation. Generally, the project aims to animate each Family Farm School (FFS) Association to be active partners of FFS in the development of the community to where the school is located; generate enough income in the conduct of livelihood activities that would increase income of the farmers and help in the operational expenses of each school; utilize the projects as management and skills training laboratory for farmers and students; aid in the promotion of FFS as venue for community development; and increase understanding of farmers in the conduct of managing and organization.

Dagatan Farm Lettuce Project       

Another beneficiary is the Punlaan School in San Juan, Metro Manila. The financial assistance granted by the foundation will be used for the advancement of less-privileged young women by helping them acquire general culture, values formation and necessary skills that will equip them for gainful employment in tourism-related establishments after graduation. The foundation supports the school’s distinct education philosophy of promoting positive values that builds character and ingrains work ethics in both the group teaching situations and in the individualized tutorial system.
