Can I withdraw the available funds in my Local Gift Card via the ATM?
Yes.
 
How much will I be charged if I withdraw the available funds in my Local Gift Card?
Free if you use any Security Bank ATM. Otherwise, you will be charged with P10 per transaction.
 
Can I use my Local Gift Card as a “debit card”?
Yes. You can use your Local Gift Card as a debit card.
 
Can I withdraw the available funds in my International Gift Card via the ATM?
No.
 
If I cannot withdraw the available funds in my International Gift Card, how can I use the funds?
You can use the funds through making purchases by “swiping” your card in any establishment which accepts the MasterCard brand. You can use this within the Philippines and around the world.
 
How much is the charge if I use my Gift Card in POS terminals?
Use of your Gift Card in POS terminals is free of charge.
 
If I swipe my Gift Card, and the Cashier asks me “Savings or Checking?”, what should I answer?
You’re answer should be “Savings”.
 
If I swipe my Local Gift Card, will I key-in my PIN?
Yes, you will key-in your PIN to authorize your transaction.
 
If I swipe my International Gift Card, will I key-in my PIN?
No, you will not key-in your PIN since you will not be given a PIN. Instead, any purchases will be enabled by your signature on the transaction slip.
 
If I only have P200 available balance in my Gift Card and the item I want to purchase is worth P500, will the transaction be accepted once the Cashier swiped my Gift Card?
No, the transaction will be invalid since your Gift Card has no sufficient balance to cover the transaction.
 
If this is the case, is it allowed to swipe my Gift Card for P200 and I just pay cash for the P300?
Yes, it is allowed.
 
If my Gift Card is pre-loaded with P 30,000, can I use-up all of this in a single day?
Yes, you can use-up all of this in a single day, whether it’s a Local or International Gift Card.
 
If my International Gift Card is pre-loaded with P 50,000, can I use-up all of this in a single day?
No, you cannot use all of the P 50,000 in a single day. You can only spend P 40,000 per day.
 
Up to how much can I withdraw using my Local Gift Card?
Using any Security Bank ATM, You can withdraw up to P 10,000 per transaction and P 30,000 per day.
 
Is my Gift Card reloadable?
No, all Security Bank Gift Cards are not reloadable.
 
If I want to have a reloadable card, what should I do?
Visit any Security Bank branch, show your Gift Card and apply for a Cash Card.
 
Should I wish to have a reloadable card, what should I do?
If you want to have a reloadable card, kindly visit any of our branches and apply for a Security Bank Cash Card, subject to payment of applicable fees. Any unused funds in your Gift Card shall be transferred to your Cash Card.
 
How do I inquire the balance for the Security Bank Gift Card?
For Local Gift Card: SBC branch where the Gift Card was purchased and any SBC ATM (free of charge) or other local ATMs (with P10 charge. For MasterCard Gift Card: SBC branch where the Gift Card was purchased
 
Can I enroll my Gift Card in Security Bank Online?
No, you cannot enroll your Gift Card in Security Bank Online.
 
What should I do if my Gift Card got lost/ was stolen?
Ask the person who gave you the Gift Card (Purchaser) to visit the SBC branch where he/she bought the Gift Card and report the incident. If your Gift Card was lost, no replacement card shall be issued to you. Any available balance in your Gift Card shall be credited to your Purchaser’s account with SBC. If he/she still has no account, it will be paid out to him/ her in cash.
 
What should I do if my Gift Card was damaged?
If your Gift Card was damaged, just visit the SBC branch where the Gift Card was bought and show your damaged Gift Card. Your damaged Gift Card shall not be replaced with a new Gift Card, instead, a Cash Card shall be issued to you. You have to fill-out the Cash Card Purchase Agreement Form, present valid IDs. You also have to pay P20.00 for Local Gift Card and P200.00 for International Cash Card. Any available balance in your Gift Card shall be transferred to your new Cash Card.
 
How long is the validity of the Gift Card?
The Gift Card is valid for 3 years.
 
Will there be a renewal Gift Card sent to me upon expiration?
None, there will be no renewal Gift Card which will be sent to you upon expiration.
 
What happens to my available balance once my Gift Card had expired?
Once your Gift Card has expired, any available balance shall be considered lost in favor of the Bank. If you want to redeem any available balance in your Gift Card, you should visit the branch of account BEFORE the expiration date and request for a new Cash Card.
 
If I want to redeem for the available balance in my Gift Card, when should I do this?
You should do this before the expiration date indicated in your Gift Card.
 
Where can I find the validity date in my Gift Card.
For Local Gift Card, it is the month/year indicated below the VALID THRU text. For the International Gift Card, it is the month/year indicated beside the VALID THRU text, above your name.
 
If I will buy an International Gift Card, can I also have a special message on the card?
No. The special card message feature is only available for Local Gift Cards.
 
Once I apply for a Gift Card, when can I get it?
If you’re in Metro Manila and nearby areas, you can get it after 3-4 working days from the date you applied. If you’re in provincial areas, you can get it after 5-7 working days.
