Foreign exchange may be purchased by Security Bank from clients without restriction. For foreign investors whose foreign exchange are meant for direct &/or portfolio investment, purchase by Security Bank (AAB) makes it eligible for BSP registration. BSP registration (BSRD) allows clients to buy back the original foreign exchange from any authorized agent banks (AAB) for repatriation
Tax Issue :
Subject to doc stamps tax of P0.30 for every P200.00 for inward remittances not credited first to client’s FCDU (547) account

Debit client’s USD
account with cleared funds – no fee
Telegraphic transfers or PDDTS – USD5.00
Bank draft – priced on a case to case basis
USD notes – priced on a case to case basis
- Bank Pays
Credit client’s
peso account – no fee
Manager’s Check payable to client – processing fee
Limited to amount indicated in the approved trade or non-trade documents or BSRD, without which a maximum of $5,000 every 15 banking days is imposed, per CB Circular 1389.

Clients may choose to convert third currencies to either Pesos or US Dollars. Available only for bank clients who maintain peso and dollar accounts with the bank.
