Corporate outings on the golf course is a norm. And that’s what lead member of
the senior management force of Security Bank Corporation to practice their golf
once in a while.
More so if the boss President’s Cup in honor of the boss, president and Chief
Executive Abet Villarosa, is on the calendar.
After a successful launch last year at the Orchard, the second edition of the
SBC President’s Cup for presidents and VIPs of business partners was staged with
more funfare and new venue, the Sta. Elena course.
A President’s Cup is always meant to celebrate a banner year for Villarosa and
his team who have kept the bank afloat as one of the Philippines’ top ten
private domestic universal banks in assets, deposits and capital.
The bank reporting a 42% increase in net income for 2007 and expanding its loan
portfolio by 55% in 2007 made a golf tournament all worth it to share the joy
with top clients.
Villarosa and the other SBC executives Bobby Reyes, William Whang, Rafael
Algarra Jr., Roman Leus, Jose Ma. Montinola, Judd Eugenio and Vic Martinez made
sure of that.
Claiming top honors in their divisions were Teddy Villanueva in Class A, Jun
Galindez in Class B, Peter Ung in Class C and Jose Nograles in Class A.
The low gross and net trophies were won by Philip Brodett and Eric Lim in Class
A, Rene Garovillo and Eric Lim in Class B, Tai Miura and Mauricio Restrivera in
Class C and Wilson Tecson and Vincent Floirendo in Class D. Truly, another big
treat for the chiefs of Security Bank.
