In the 2006 Diners Club International Asia Pacific Franchise Awards, Diners Club Philippines topped the Asia Pacific franchises as it garnered the Best Franchise Award following a strong overall performance throughout 2006. This achievement is the second for the franchise in the last three years, the first regional awards having been given in 2004.
This year’s win can be attributed to several key success factors such as the consistent net card growth through to October 2006, a robust sales growth also through October 2006, a consistent stream of new products and features that helped enhance & revitalize the card, expanded merchant acceptance, a well-thought off above-the-line and below-the-line mix of program plus a complete focus across the business to deliver high quality service.
Belen C. Lim, the Director of SB Cards Corp. (the exclusive franchise owner of Diners Club in the Phils.) said, “We at SB Cards cannot be happier with our performance this year and we are equally glad that we are being recognized for all our efforts. We have made it a priority to shamelessly works across out network of merchants and implement these activities to suit each and everyone’s business needs. Security Bank Corporation, the mother company that owns SB Cards Inc., has also been such an important asset in the excellent performance of Diners Club. With its branch network acting as a major retail vendor of the credit card brand, a significant number of new cards were added in 2006 not to mention providing fulfillment locations nationwide for the availment of features and special programs exclusive to the roster of Diners Club members.
