30 March 2004 - Security Bank cardholders will now experience world-class standard services through the bank’s automated teller machines (ATM) and enable them to use their ATMs further than just for credit card cash advances. Cardholders can now use their ATMs as payment systems using a single card to pay bills and
utilities.
Security Bank Corporation has signed a contract with Banking Production Centre (BPC), Moscow’s leading electronic payment and e-business solutions provider, to address its customer needs and gain competitive advantage in product
innovation.
Senior vice president for Security Bank’s Consumer Banking Group Jovencio Hernandez said that the acquisition of SmartVista Suite, through Solutions Exchange, Inc., BPC’s authorized distributor of SmartVista Suite in the Philippines, “will provide Security Bank with single and combined platforms to process both credit and debit cards, both local and international. It will certainly bring us closer to achieving our goals, specifically in the area of product
innovation.”
SmartVista Suite addresses the trends in retail banking technology-open platform, scalability and retail delivery channel integration. The implementation of this solution will fully equip Security Bank Corporation with superior infrastructure for its card products and will give it the right tool to manage and optimize its card delivery system.
Daniel Yu, Security Bank, first vice president and chief information officer said, ”While the existing system is stable, we searched for a system that is better, in terms of functionality, performance and ease of use. Security Bank came across good packages available in the market but in the end, it was BPC’s SmartVista Suite that offered the best integration function with the current system, and has good local technical support that will be provided to us by Solutions Exchange,
Inc.”
“This is a milestone for solutions offering in the country—it being the first in Asia. We at Solutions Exchange, Inc. are committed to give full support to this project,” Menchie Serrano, Director for Sales, Solutions Exchange, Inc.
said.
This is the third project of Security Bank with Solutions Exchange, Inc. in pursuit of bringing value and satisfaction to its customers.
BPC officials led by Anatoly Loginov, General Director of BPC; Jan Svegmar, General Manager, BPC International and Alexey Demidov, Director, BPC Consulting, expressed their full support and commitment to the success of the project.
“I thank Security Bank Corporation and Solutions Exchange, Inc. for trusting BPC and SmartVista to address the trends and concerns in the demands of the environment,” Loginov said.
