What is Security Bank CheckRightTM?
Security Bank CheckRightTM is an interest-bearing peso checking account that comes with a software package for check payments automation. It allows you to:

1. Enter check payments information conveniently through a user-friendly interface or by direct upload from your accounts payable system.
2. Print checks individually or by batch with single or multiple vouchers.
3. Obtain an electronic account statement daily via the Internet (Security Digibanker) or e-mail, and perform automatic reconciliation of your outstanding checks.
4. Monitor check inventory, including individual check status.
5. Create and manage a payee database.
6. Encrypt data files to secure your payments and payee information.
7. Generate a wide variety of standard reports.
8. Transfer report data instantly to other data applications like MS Word or MS Excel, or to other applications such as a General Ledger system.
 

Who can avail of CheckRight?
Security Bank CheckRightTM is specifically designed for companies (including corporations, partnerships or single proprietorships) who want to automate or further enhance a previous automation of their check payments and reconciliation process. 

How does my company avail of Security Bank CheckRightTM?
All you need to do is open a CheckRight account at any Security Bank branch with a minimum opening balance of 50,000 pesos. Upon account opening, you will receive a product kit, which contains a pad of 100 specially designed corporate check sheets (with attached vouchers and acknowledgement receipts) and a software package.

Does CheckRight require a dedicated computer system?
No. CheckRight can co-reside on any Windows-based computer system with most other PC applications, and only takes up about 25MB of hard disk space.

What kind of equipment do I need to use CheckRight?
The minimum system specifications for CheckRight to run smoothly are:

1. IBM PC Compatible with Pentium-class microprocessor
2. At least 32MB RAM (64MB recommended)
3. VGA or better display capability
4. 800 x 600 screen resolution for wide viewing
5. CD-ROM Drive (8x or faster, 32 bit driver)
6. Windows 95/98/NT/2000 or XP (service pack 2) 
7. Inkjet or Laser Printer compatible with 8.5” x 11” size sheets

What types of standard reports does CheckRight provide?
Although you can prepare customized reports easily by exporting CheckRight data directly into MS Excel, the system features the following standard instant reports:

1. Chart of Accounts Summary
2. Checks Register
3. Payee Master List
4. Checks Master List
5. Outstanding Checks
6. Cancelled Checks
7. Cleared Checks
8. Checks Issued per Payee
9. Paid Invoices per Payee

Do I have the option to create an authorization sequence before checks are printed?
Yes, there is an option to define a workflow for preparing and printing checks, which you may also disable for convenience. The workflow is defined during software installation. If you choose to avail of this feature, you will have to specify the number of authorized signatories (maximum of 2). If you have selected this option, your signatories will be required to encode their password for confirmation prior to printing.

Can I use several printers networked to my PC?
Yes. You just have to select one default printer before printing.

Can my company’s logo be printed on the checks?
Yes. Your company’s logo can be printed on the next batch of checks that you order, upon coordination with the branch and the accredited check printer.

How do I reorder checks? What is the lead-time for reordering checks?
Simply accomplish the reorder form placed after the 50th check in your CheckRight checkpad and submit it to your servicing branch. Lead-time for check reorders is two weeks.

How many users can the system handle? How many companies?
There is no limit to the number of users a company can enroll. There is also no limit to the number of companies you can enroll in the system as long as each company has its own distinct profile of accounts.

What are the security features in place?
CheckRight is protected from unauthorized use and secures your payments data with through a variety of measures, which include the following:

1. Only profiled users with assigned IDs and passwords can use the system.
2. All passwords are encrypted.
3. The payee database is password protected and encrypted.
4. An optional workflow (Maker-Authorizer) can be defined.
5. All checks need to be signed manually.

What happens if I forget my ID and password?
The Administrator can reset your password to the default password (which is your user ID) upon verification of your user ID. He needs to simply log-in using the Administrator ID, highlight the user ID that was locked out and click on the button “Unlock” or “Reset”. 

Are the check numbers pre-assigned? How do I monitor them?
Check numbers are pre-assigned and need to be enrolled in the system prior to use for check inventory tracking purposes. You can monitor your inventory and individual check status with the Checks Register report

Can I print post-dated or pre-dated checks?
Yes. You just have to key in a check date later or earlier than the current date.

Can I create and maintain a payee database?
Yes. The Maker and Authorizer can create and maintain the payee database, which is encrypted for security. Access to this database is also password protected.

What happens if there is a printing error like a paper jam? Can I reprint the check? What happens to the spoiled check?
You can reprint with the same details but on a check with a different check number. If you are going to reprint on a different check number, the original check number will automatically be tagged as cancelled by the system. 

How do I perform manual reconciliation? How does the automatic reconciliation feature work?
There are facilities for both manual and automatic reconciliation.

1. For manual reconciliation, you must encode the clearing date of each check individually and tag each as cleared.
2. For automatic reconciliation, you will need an electronic statement of account, which will be sent via e-mail or over the Internet via Security DigiBanker. Once you receive your statement file, CheckRight can read it and reconcile your checks automatically.
